Teen arrested in south Sacramento shooting | Crime
SACRAMENTO, CA - A 17 year old has been arrested and booked into juvenile hall in connection with a deadly shooting Wednesday night, say Sacramento police.
First, officers were called to the 2100 block of 65th Avenue at approximately 7:44 p.m. to invesitgate a report of gunshots fired. Officer Michele Gigante said officers found evidence of a shooting but no victims.
Meantime, it was learned a man in his 20s had been shot several times in the upper torso and had been transported to a local hospital, Gigante said. The man did not survive.
Very soon after the first victim arrived at the hospital, a second person, described as in his late teens was admitted for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his lower body.
Police had not learned or were not saying yet whether the shootings were connected.
