Two detained in Florin Rd. armed robbery attempt

SACRAMENTO, CA - Sacramento County sheriff's deputies have detained two individuals in connection to an attempted armed robbery on the 4300 block of Florin Road Tuesday morning.

A witness told first responders two men with masks entered the Plasma Center of America at 4333 Florin Road and demanded employees turn over money. One of the individuals was armed with a very large gun and one of the robbers had a scarf over the lower half of his face.

Instead, all of the employees ran outside and when the robbers didn't get any money, they took off on foot.

Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos said witnesses have positively identified both individuals detained as trying to rob the business. He said deputies also found a gun and clothing that was apparently shed as the suspects ran.

No one was hurt.
