Sunday afternoon, nearly 300 guests converged on Mulvaney's in Midtown for the third annual Bacon Fest Chefs Competition. Twelve local chefs vied for the top prize. Here are the winners:

Best in Show, 2014 Bacon Fest Champion: Ian McBride of Lucca Restaurant (Ian wins a three night stay in Napa at a culinary academy)

Audience Award: Noah Zonca, Capital Dime (Noah won for his bacon brittle and received a medal and his choice of locally produced M.A.C. knives)

Best Bacon: MIchael Tuohy, Block Butcher Bar and LowBrau (chef Tuohy will be opening his brand new restaurant Block Butcher Bar next month)

2nd Place, Best Bacon: Ian McBride of Lucca Restaurant and Bar)

Best Dish: Rachel Kelley of Revolution Wines (Rachel won with bacon on a crostini with a white wine reduction with brie, brussel spouts, trumpet mushrooms and green apple. She received a medal and her choice of locally produced M.A.C. knives)

Best Dish 2nd Place: Matt Brown of The Golden Bear (for his "Smokin' Gnocchi")

Best Cocktail: Chris Dooley of Ella Dining Room and Bar (for his "Bacon and Eggs" cocktail--he receives a medal and a $100 prize)

Best Nontraditional Bacon: Travis Surmi of Grange Restaurant & Bar (for his "pig face bacon"; he received a medal and his choice of locally produced M.A.C. knives)

DJ's Choice Award: Michael Tuohy of Block Butcher Bar and LowBrau

They Love My Bacon Award: Brian Mizner of Hook & Ladder Manufacturing Co. (for his Bacon Chimichanga!)
