Tuskegee Airmen to visit John Ehrhardt Elementary School

Three members of the esteemed Tuskegee Airmen, an elite group of African-American pilots in World War II, will visit John Ehrhardt Elementary School at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13 to speak with fourth through sixth grade students.

Valley High School students to hold #UnfollowBullying pledge drive

Valley High School students will be holding a #UnfollowBullying pledge drive from 11:15 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, November 13.  In exchange for signing the pledges, students will receive a turquoise #UnfollowBullying wristband. For more information about the campaign, click here.

Students at Edward Harris, Jr. Middle School to participate in annual “Turkey Trot” for turkeys and pumpkin pie

Edward Harris, Jr. Middle School will hold its 4th Annual Turkey Trot on Friday November 16.  Students and staff who participate in the trot will have the chance to win a turkey for the holidays.  The top 7th and 8th grade boy and girl will each win a turkey donated by Raley’s to take home.  Second place winners will receive pumpkin pies donated by Sam’s Club.  All participants are entered into a drawing to win other great prizes, such as gift cards to Big 5 Sporting Goods.  The 7th grade race begins at 11:18 a.m. and the 8th grade race begins at 12:46 p.m.
