Sacramento -- Game On! Parents with children in SCUSD schools met Wednesday evening at the Serna Center with vendors from dozens of tutoring companies competing for business in the "No Child Left Behind" program.
Parents must decide no later than Nov. 6 on three tutoring companies they choose in the event their children qualify for free tutoring to help boost test scores. Enrollment Forms for this federally-funded tutoring program must be completed and returned to the child's school by Nov. 6. Parents must complete an Enrollment Form for each child who attends an eligible school.
Venders range from internet tutoring to one-on-one personalized tutoring to small group tutoring. Parents must research which three companies offer the type of tutoring they desire for their children. Most tutoring vendors have Internet web sites where parents can research information.
